- Laboratory diagnosis of animal disease through complete blood count, biochemistry panel, urinalysis, collection of cells from tissue and fluid with a needle, and other tests
- Reference intervals (normal blood values) for specific groups of animals are required for assessing health and diagnosing disease. Reference intervals are specific to analyzer type.
- Laboratory quality assurance includes processes and procedures that ensure test results are free from error and address preanaltyic, analytic, and postanalytic aspects of laboratory testing.
